We take the role of the carer very seriously at the surgery and do what we can to provide extra support for those that are carer’s for their loved ones. One of our administrators, Emma, is a carer’s champion. Emma attends meetings regularly and uses the information provided in these meetings to keep our carer’s leaflets up to date and informative.
There are two carer’s booklets, one is aimed at young carers, and another aimed at adult carers. The booklets provide general information that may be of interest to carers, as well as details of support agencies and support groups that may be able to provide help. Emma is available to be contacted by using our Ask Reception a Question form and will be able to provide the carer’s leaflets and any additional information needed.
If you are either a carer, or being cared for, please visit the Social Care and Support Guide page on the NHS website for more information on support and services available for you.
